Welcome to

Promote Indie Lit

A free hub connecting poets and indie presses with reviewers, podcasters, and literary platforms.

Submit your recent work and let our network help amplify it. No fees. No gatekeeping, just visibility that reaches beyond your timeline.

About PIL

Promote Indie Lit (PIL) is a central access point, not a showcase site. The work you submit won’t appear here. Instead, it’s made available to a trusted network of reviewers, podcasters, interviewers, and literary bloggers who are actively looking to feature new, independent writing.

Once your submission is live in the system, participating platforms can browse and choose the work that resonates with them. If they want to cover your book, they’ll contact you directly for interviews, features, or reviews.

The submission form is designed to be as accessible as possible, while still giving our network the information they need to help promote your work effectively. And while we can’t promise coverage from every platform, we’re committed to getting your publication in front of the right people.

PIL is the brainchild of writer and editor Alan Parry, created in direct response to seeing writers charged fees for basic exposure, and blog tours locked behind paywalls. This project exists to push back against that. We believe indie literature should be seen and shared freely, not hidden behind a price tag.

Why This Exists

Selling books is tough. Promoting them — getting the right eyes on the right words — can feel like shouting into the wind. Most poets and indie presses don’t have agents or budgets for publicity. But what if they didn’t need them?

This isn’t a company. It’s a collective effort — a group of like-minded individuals with blogs, podcasts, and platforms coming together to level the playing field.

We offer honest reviews, thoughtful features, and marketing copy that helps authors gain visibility and traction for their releases. What do we get in return? More readers. More listeners. More traffic to our sites. More respect from peers. And more chances to read brilliant, brave writing before the world catches up.

Plus, if we’re being honest — we get that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from doing something that actually matters.
